How this is calculated
Depreciation is calculated by spreading the difference between purchase price and expected resale value evenly across your ownership years.
We add your annual running costs (registration, insurance, fuel, maintenance, tyres, parking, finance cost and anything else you enter) to depreciation for a total annual cost.
If you enter your annual distance driven, we also show a cost per kilometre or mile.
